Thank you for scheduling an Information Session with the
Rosenstiel Undergraduate Program

We look forward to your visit.  In the meantime, we would like to share a few program highlights for you to enjoy.

Rosenstiel Undergraduate Research Symposium (Virtual Presentations)

Our undergraduates work hard in both the lab and field to finalize their research for this virtual presentation.  Presenting at our annual symposium is one of the requirements for students to earn Departmental Honors within the Rosenstiel School.

Rosenstiel Undergraduate Faculty Seminar Series

On the first Wednesday of the month, we invite a Rosenstiel faculty member to present their research during a seminar. During their presentation our faculty host discusses important topics in one of the following areas:  Marine Biology & Ecology, Oceanography, Marine Policy, Geosciences, Meteorology, and more. This gives our students an opportunity to explore topics of interest outside of the classroom and learn more about research opportunities available.  You may view a recorded presentation from our archives.

Rosenstiel Underwater Photo Contest

Each spring, Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science hosts an underwater photography contest open to amateur photographers who earn no more than 20 percent of their income from photography. Since its inception in 2005, the contest has drawn entrants from across the globe submitting more than 400 images per year. Photographs are judged in six separate categories: Fish or Marine Animal Portrait, Macro, Wide Angle, Marine Conservation, Student, and Best Overall. The winning images are announced at one of the Rosenstiel School’s Sea Secrets lectures and are displayed in a traveling exhibit throughout the South Florida community.

We hope you enjoyed the presentations and highlights from our students and faculty.
